Drilling Solution Engineer

About the role

As a Drilling Solution Engineer at NOV, you will provide technical support and expertise to ensure the successful execution of drilling projects. You will work closely with clients, drilling engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize drilling operations for safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to define drilling objectives and develop tailored solutions.
• Conduct engineering analyses to optimize parameters such as weight on bit, drilling fluid properties, and drill‑string configurations.
• Monitor real‑time drilling operations, offering on‑site technical support to rig crews.
• Perform post‑well analysis to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and best‑practice procedures.
• Utilize advanced drilling software and data‑analytics tools to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drilling or a related oil‑and‑gas role.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fundamentals, including techniques, fluids, wellbore stability, and equipment.
