EHS Trainer – Design and Deliver Safety Training

About the role

The EHS Trainer will design, deliver and evaluate environment, health and safety training programs for Sohar Aluminium employees and external clients. The role ensures participants acquire technical knowledge, practical skills and safety awareness while supporting compliance and cost‑control objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely EHS training services and prepare training materials to meet competency requirements.
• Conduct assessments, technical recruitment tests and provide feedback on trainee progress.
• Maintain a safe training facility and provide on‑the‑job follow‑up to ensure skill transfer.
• Oversee external providers when training load exceeds internal capacity.
• Develop Omani trainers, e‑learning content and digital assessment tools (e.g., HAZOP awareness, Emergency Response, ISO 45001).
• Apply training effectiveness models such as Kirkpatrick evaluation and audit readiness.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, license validity and coordinate with accreditation bodies.
• Prepare reports, capture assessment results in the TOE Services template and record statistics in SAP.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering EHS training to staff and external clients.
• Ability to develop training materials, assessments and e‑learning modules.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, HAZOP, emergency response procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with training effectiveness evaluation (Kirkpatrick) and audit readiness.
• Experience using SAP for training record management.
