ETL Developer – Data Integration & Big Data Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to join our data warehousing team. The role focuses on designing, building and optimizing data integration pipelines that support large-scale analytics across the telecom domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex end-to-end ETL mappings, workflows and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Create, optimize and schedule Python automation scripts for data ingestion, custom transformations and system monitoring.
• Architect and scale data integration pipelines within the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, Spark, MapReduce) to handle massive datasets.
• Analyze and tune long-running Informatica workflows, SQL overrides, memory allocations and session bottlenecks.
• Implement performance-tuning strategies in relational databases, especially Teradata (macros, stored procedures, volatile tables, indexes, join strategies).
• Optimize big-data storage formats and execution engine resources in Hadoop to maximize throughput.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including advanced transformations and XML parsing.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, plus advanced Unix/Linux shell scripting and SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with Hadoop platforms (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Spark, MapReduce).
• Advanced SQL skills; Teradata expertise (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, volatile tables) is a plus.
• Prior experience in the telecom domain is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
