Executive Chef

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at Hakkasan Muscat, a flagship of the internationally acclaimed Hakkasan Group. This senior position will shape the culinary direction of a globally recognised luxury dining destination, driving innovation while preserving the brand’s iconic identity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and execution.
• Develop and evolve menus, introducing innovative dishes while protecting Hakkasan’s culinary identity.
• Inspire, coach, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior operational leadership to meet business objectives, maximise profitability, and enhance the guest experience.
• Monitor food cost, labour, stock control and overall kitchen performance, identifying efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, compliance and operational excellence.
• Support culinary projects and brand initiatives as required.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent sourcing of premium ingredients.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fast‑paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Extensive background in Cantonese cuisine with deep knowledge of traditional techniques, flavours and premium ingredients.
• Fluent Mandarin language skills.
• Strong leadership ability to inspire and develop a high‑performing team.
• Commercial mindset with experience managing food cost, labour and profitability.
• Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a high‑volume setting.
• Passion for delivering outstanding quality and memorable dining experiences.
