Financial Accounting & Operations Manager

About the role

The Financial Accounting & Operations Manager will lead the finance function for Sohar Industrial Port, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting, reporting, and transaction processing. This senior position supports strategic decision‑making by delivering high‑quality financial information and driving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and cash‑flow management to optimise liquidity.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and payroll processing while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead the finance team, set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and develop talent.
• Coordinate budget preparation, monitor variances, and enforce internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Act as primary liaison with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Identify process‑improvement and automation opportunities, champion ERP utilisation, and support finance digitalisation initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to QHSE policies and promote a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting, and operations management.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
