Financial Director – Education Sector (Oman)

About the role

The client, a diversified education group in Oman, is seeking an experienced Financial Director to shape and execute its group‑wide financial strategy. The role will drive long‑term financial planning, resource allocation, and ensure liquidity and stability across all subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group’s financial strategy and support achievement of strategic objectives.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for all subsidiaries.
• Ensure strong financial governance, compliance with laws, regulations and professional standards.
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports to executive management and the Board of Directors.
• Manage liquidity, investments, financing activities and relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, new projects and financial risks.
• Support growth, expansion initiatives and long‑term development plans.
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting, cash‑flow management and performance analysis.
• Collaborate with Boards of Directors, Audit & Risk Committees, government entities, banks and investors.
• Prepare feasibility studies and manage investment portfolios.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in education, holding companies or diversified groups.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent are preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Expertise in group‑level reporting, performance analysis and consolidated reporting.
• Experience in cash‑flow management, investment evaluation and feasibility studies.
