Fuels Manager / Alternate Site Manager

About the role

The Fuels Manager / Alternate Site Manager provides leadership for the Fuels Department, overseeing the full life‑cycle of fuel assets in support of United States Air Forces Central (USAFCENT). The role combines program management, site operations and quality assurance to ensure safe, secure and timely fuel delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Fuels personnel, managing receipts, accountability, storage, security and periodic inspections of fuel assets.
• Develop and execute fuel reconstitution and preservation plans, including calibration of meters, functional testing of pumps and hydrostatic testing of hoses.
• Track fuel deployments, prepare and submit accurate reports to USAFCENT A4/RF.
• Serve as primary liaison between Amentum sites and USAFCENT, handling inquiries and coordinating with Program Management.
• Create, update and enforce Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and training plans.
• Oversee product quality deficiency reports from submission through resolution.
• Act as Site Manager in their absence, supervising a mixed team of U.S., foreign and local staff and ensuring compliance with host‑nation and Armed Forces conduct standards.
• Collect weekly and monthly data for quality input to PEBs or AFEB and submit required reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing fuel assets or similar logistics programs in a military or contractor environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise small, multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with USAF fuel regulations, Technical Orders and ISO 9000 quality standards.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, especially in an in‑theater setting.
