Head of Digital Innovation & FinTech (Open Banking)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to define and deliver the digital banking vision for a large financial services organisation in Oman. The role will drive open‑banking and fintech ecosystem initiatives, overseeing platform modernisation, cloud adoption and resilient system architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the multi‑year digital transformation roadmap and open‑banking strategy.
• Lead API and open‑banking initiatives, including API‑gateway design, secure data exchange and fintech ecosystem integrations.
• Build and manage cross‑functional teams for digital channels and fintech integration, ensuring strong governance and quality delivery.
• Develop monetisation models for APIs and digital financial services.
• Oversee platform modernisation, cloud migration, micro‑services adoption and resilient architecture.
• Ensure regulatory, cybersecurity and compliance alignment across all digital projects.
• Manage partnerships with fintechs, vendors and technology providers to accelerate innovation.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance and Operations to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Monitor performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in digital banking, fintech or digital transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering digital banking platforms (mobile, internet, onboarding) and ecosystem integrations.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership abilities.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as cybersecurity, AML/KYC and open‑banking mandates.
