Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club and, where applicable, laundry at a hotel in Al Mouj, Muscat. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the property’s quality standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping shift operations, verify guest‑room status, and communicate updates to the Front Desk.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, and coordinate immediate cleaning assignments.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, ensure adequate stock, and verify staff have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Develop and supervise an inspection program to meet budgeted financial goals.
• Train new room attendants, provide ongoing coaching, and schedule staff according to business demand.
• Administer property policies, disciplinary procedures, and employee recognition programs in line with SOPs.
• Monitor staffing levels to balance guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Ability to manage budgets, conduct inspections, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong supervisory skills with experience in training, scheduling, and performance management.
