IT Manager

About the role

The IT Manager will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, applications and digital solutions to support business operations, project development and future plant operations in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the IT roadmap and technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, standards and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with company policies, cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the annual IT budget and expenditure plans.
• Establish and maintain all IT infrastructure for the Oman office and future operational sites, including networks, servers, cloud services, storage and communication systems.
• Ensure system availability, reliability and business continuity, overseeing asset management, software licensing and hardware lifecycle.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity controls, monitor risks, manage incident response and lead awareness initiatives.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Manage business applications such as ERP, HR, Finance, Procurement and document management systems, ensuring integration and data integrity.
• Support project teams with technology requirements and coordinate technology solutions for future plant operations.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, consultants and service providers, leading selection, contract negotiations and performance management.
• Establish and oversee IT support services for employees and contractors, ensuring timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading IT functions and managing budgets.
• Ability to develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Experience collaborating with corporate teams, external service providers and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, regulatory compliance and risk management.
