About the role
The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time, onsite position requires a proactive approach to safety and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
- Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
- Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and manage emergency situations.
- Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Support guests with disabilities and ensure a professional appearance at all times.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb (75 lb with assistance).
- Physical fitness to respond quickly, run, or jog when required.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to company policies.
- Willingness to undergo safety training and maintain relevant certifications.
