Mechanical Piping Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Piping Engineer will lead the identification and elimination of design defects in mechanical and piping systems, ensuring compliance with engineering best practices, codes, and project specifications. The role involves coordinating studies, troubleshooting, and delivering effective solutions for both existing facilities and new projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop performance measures and support the engineering service team in updating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Prepare and monitor package work plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Review and approve contract development plans, Scope of Work (SOW), and engineering packages for FEED, EPCC, and MOC processes.
• Analyze recurring problems, apply engineering theories, and resolve major issues.
• Review conceptual and preliminary designs of piping and static equipment, approving drawings, isometrics, BOMs, and SP3D models.
• Design plant modifications, conduct HAZOP studies, and participate in root‑cause analyses.
• Ensure all engineering and safety procedures are followed throughout project execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical and piping engineering within industrial or construction environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Familiarity with project budgeting, cost estimation, and schedule management.
