Mid Senior Project Manager – Software & Digital Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Mid Senior Project Manager to lead software and digital transformation projects for the Oman Ministry of Education. The role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of software projects, from planning and requirements gathering to execution, monitoring and go‑live.
• Coordinate Business Analysts, Developers, QA, UI/UX Designers and implementation teams.
• Serve as primary contact between internal teams, stakeholders, partners and the client.
• Track progress, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies; prepare project plans, status reports and meeting minutes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication across all parties.
• Identify risks and support mitigation planning.
• Ensure deliverables align with business requirements and quality expectations.
• Support resource planning and task prioritisation with technical and business teams.
• Utilise project management tools such as Jira, MS Project or similar to track tasks and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing software, technology or digital transformation projects.
• Experience in education, government or large‑scale implementations preferred.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication in Arabic and English.
• Omani nationality preferred; other nationalities considered based on experience.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or CSM are a plus.
