Night Supervisor – Front Office

About the role

The Night Supervisor – Front Office ensures smooth operations during the night shift at a Marriott hotel in Muscat. You will be the primary point of contact for guests, handling check‑ins, payments and any issues that arise after hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with problem payments and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Process all guest check‑ins, confirm reservations, assign rooms and issue keys.
• Handle all payment types (cash, checks, debit, credit) and set up accurate guest accounts.
• Anticipate sold‑out situations and arrange alternative accommodations when needed.
• Block rooms, manage special requests and coordinate with Bellperson and Housekeeping.
• Track room readiness, review shift logs and maintain accurate documentation.
• Count and balance cash at the start and end of the shift, dropping receipts per accounting guidelines.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Report accidents, follow safety procedures and uphold company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related front‑office or hospitality experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 10 lb.

Required skills

• Basic cash handling and accounting procedures.
• Proficiency with hotel reservation and point‑of‑sale systems (as used by Marriott).
