Pharmacist – Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Pharmacist specialized in procurement to lead the sourcing of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and healthcare supplies for our operations in Muscat. The role ensures timely acquisition, regulatory compliance and optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure pharmaceutical products, medical consumables and related items.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing and secure timely deliveries from suppliers and manufacturers.
• Monitor inventory levels, initiate purchase orders and prevent stock shortages.
• Ensure all procured items comply with Oman Ministry of Health regulations and internal standards.
• Review purchase orders, invoices and supplier agreements for accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records and documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales and operations teams to align stock requirements.
• Track product expiry dates and manage replenishment cycles.
• Evaluate supplier performance and nurture strong vendor relationships.
• Support regulatory and audit requirements related to pharmaceutical procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Valid Oman Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain one.
• 2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
