Resident Engineer

About the role

The Resident Engineer will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the construction of dam components, ensuring that all works comply with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This senior position requires strong decision‑making abilities and hands‑on technical guidance on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise engineers, geologists, and inspectors, providing technical direction and resolving site‑specific issues.
• Oversee all construction activities for dam components, verifying compliance with designs, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Review work plans, method statements, and material submissions to ensure quality and conformity.
• Coordinate with contractors, monitor progress, assess risks, and prepare detailed progress reports.
• Manage contractual matters, including claims, variations, and contractual compliance.
• Act as the primary liaison with the client, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure construction activities stay within the approved budget and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision of roads and bridges.
• At least 8 years of experience performed in the capacity of Resident Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
