Risk Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join a well‑established organisation in Muscat that specialises in asset‑backed financing and transportation of marine vessels, aircraft and vehicles. The role is full‑time and on‑site, offering the chance to shape risk policies across a high‑value international portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assess counterparty credit, market, project, FX and other risk exposures.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, cash‑flow modelling and stress‑testing of counterparties.
• Issue independent risk opinions and develop risk mitigants, including terms and conditions.
• Monitor existing clients’ financial standing, repayment capacity and collateral adequacy.
• Conduct portfolio analysis, quality control and support Risk Committee procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth information flow.
• Handle ad‑hoc risk‑related tasks as directed by the Head of Risk.

Required profile

• 4‑7+ years of experience in risk analysis, credit risk or financial analysis, preferably in banking, leasing, shipping or asset finance.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional working proficiency in English; additional French or Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Python, VBA or SQL (strong advantage).
• Professional certifications such as ACCA or CFA (preferred).

What we offer

• Salary range of 1,500 – 3,000 OMR per month, depending on experience.
• Full‑time, on‑site position in Muscat.
