Sales Support Specialist

About the role

ABB is looking for a Sales Support Specialist to assist the sales organization in Oman. You will act as a key technical resource during the proposal process, ensuring smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely and professional support to customers throughout the order lifecycle.
• Manage order booking, factory and third‑party vendor coordination, consignment stock, and inventory in SAP.
• Ensure the complete value chain from sales order to customer payment, including order acknowledgement, delivery arrangements, and forwarder coordination.
• Prepare and monitor on‑time‑delivery (OTD) reports on a monthly basis.
• Issue purchase orders, place orders via email/OMS/BOL, and maintain correspondence with factories.
• Update goods receipt in SAP and handle invoicing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across cultures and business units to support market competitiveness.

Required profile

• Back‑end sales support experience with at least 7 years in order processing.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or similar order processing systems.
• Understanding of commercial terms, bank guarantees and letters of credit.
• Knowledge of drives and motors is a plus.
