Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the hotel’s property, guests, colleagues, and assets. This role involves active patrolling, monitoring of access points, and rapid response to any security incidents to maintain a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas to deter and detect security breaches.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular checks of doors, windows, and other access points.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies.
• Enforce hotel safety and security policies and regulations.
• Provide directions and assistance to guests and staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of security activities and incidents.
• Report concerns, incidents, or breaches to the security supervisor.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure a secure environment.
• Participate in security training and drills.
• Control access to restricted hotel areas.
• Support security during events and gatherings.
• Operate in an environmentally friendly manner and follow health and safety procedures.
