Senior Application Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to lead a team of application engineers in designing and delivering artificial lift solutions for the Middle East market. The role combines technical leadership, project management and close collaboration with sales and R&D to drive successful ESP deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of application engineers in the design and implementation of artificial lift (ESP) systems.
• Support the sales team in tender preparation and pursue new business opportunities in the Middle East.
• Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery, invoicing, and financial performance.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting and performance optimisation for ESP installations.
• Collaborate with clients to develop customised solutions and deliver performance reports.
• Design ESP solutions using SubPump software based on client data.
• Monitor ESP system health, spare‑part consumption and material costs to improve gross margin.
• Manage field operations staff through installation, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and reporting.
• Track KPIs, generate monthly dashboards and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in ESP oilfield rig and maintenance operations, including at least 3 years in ESP application engineering.
• Proven experience with ESP design, troubleshooting, installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning.
• Hands‑on experience with SubPump or similar ESP design software.
• Strong background in upstream oil‑and‑gas processes and customer relationship management.
