Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of our enterprise cloud platforms. The role combines deep technical expertise in OpenStack and Kubernetes with strong Linux administration and automation skills to ensure a reliable, secure and scalable environment for mission-critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and modernise highly available cloud infrastructure, including capacity planning, performance tuning and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Deploy, administer and troubleshoot OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Heat, Horizon, Swift).
• Build and manage production Kubernetes clusters for cloud-native and micro-services workloads.
• Maintain enterprise Linux systems (RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu) – hardening, patching, lifecycle management.
• Plan, provision and manage storage solutions such as SAN, NAS, Ceph, Fibre Channel and iSCSI, including backup and replication.
• Configure and support networking components – routing, switching, VLAN/VXLAN, load balancers, firewalls and SDN.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Python, Bash and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Oversee server hardware platforms (HPE, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop cloud architecture standards, lead migration projects and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Perform platform upgrades, health checks, monitoring integration and incident troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud or systems engineering, including at least 3 years managing OpenStack (version 17+).
• Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and mentor technical teams.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional environments.
