Senior Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of a landmark luxury hospitality development in Oman. You will work closely with the client, design consultants and contractors to ensure the project meets programme, quality, safety and commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all on‑site construction activities on behalf of the Project Management Consultancy.
• Manage the main contractor and specialist subcontractors throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Monitor programme, productivity and progress, implementing recovery strategies when required.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved design, specifications and international quality standards.
• Drive a proactive health, safety and environmental culture across the project.
• Coordinate with design, commercial and technical teams to resolve construction issues efficiently.
• Chair progress meetings and provide detailed reporting to senior client stakeholders.
• Review construction methodologies, temporary works and sequencing strategies.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, handover and close‑out activities.
• Build collaborative relationships with all project stakeholders while maintaining robust contractual governance.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 20+ years’ experience delivering major building projects through a recognised PMC or engineering consultancy.
• Significant experience managing luxury hotels, resorts, mixed‑use developments or other high‑end hospitality projects.
• Previous GCC experience is required; Oman experience is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
