Senior Field Production Engineer

About the role

OQ is seeking a Senior Field Production Engineer to provide robust production‑engineering expertise for its operated assets in Oman. The role supports field‑based production activities, well design, completion, and integrated production modelling to optimise well and field performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical production‑engineering support and innovative solutions across a large scope of activities.
• Monitor daily well performance, conduct surveillance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise production.
• Design and implement frac‑jobs, well testing, artificial‑lift systems, completions, workovers, interventions, and stimulations.
• Analyse field data with engineering tools, provide recommendations for production optimisation and field development.
• Participate in monthly production and reservoir‑surveillance planning, and integrated field studies.
• Conduct root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) on well failures and propose mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geologists to maximise asset value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field production engineering within oil and gas.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret engineering data.
• Capability to guide junior engineers and trainees.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and compliance with OQ policies and international standards.
