Senior Finance Manager – Renewable Energy Projects (Oman)

About the role

Senior Finance Manager will oversee finance, accounting, treasury, reporting, tax and IT functions for 2‑5 joint‑venture special project companies that will design, build, own and operate 100‑500 MW utility‑scale solar PV and wind power plants in Oman. The role is part‑time seconded to each SPC, reporting to the project company’s EMD/GM and managing a CAPEX budget of USD 250‑625 million financed mainly by non‑recourse banking facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Finance Manager and Assistant Finance Manager(s) and coordinate with external advisors (auditors, tax advisors, lenders, insurance brokers).
• Lead budgeting, long‑term planning (LTP) and cost control for the Oman perimeter.
• Oversee all finance, accounting, treasury, reporting, tax and IT activities for each SPC.
• Manage billing, collection, purchase orders, month‑end closing and reconciliation of project costs.
• Monitor risk management, insurance administration and prepare annual progress reports for the Board.
• Analyse project performance, ensure compliance, internal control and support dispute resolution with plant teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles within large capital‑intensive projects.
• Proven track record managing CAPEX budgets of USD 250‑625 million.
• Experience supervising finance teams and coordinating with external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with renewable‑energy projects (solar PV, wind) and joint‑venture structures.
• Strong analytical, reporting and risk‑management capabilities.
