Technical Facilities Design Manager

About the role

The Technical Facilities Design Manager will lead the end‑to‑end design and engineering of telecom infrastructure facilities, including technical buildings, data centers, equipment rooms, power, HVAC, grounding, and civil works. The role ensures that all designs are compliant, resilient, and ready for future technology demands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the complete design of technical buildings, data centers, and network hosting facilities.
• Develop and review High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs for all facility systems.
• Define civil and structural requirements for cable routing, duct banks, trenches, and equipment foundations.
• Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, ASHRAE, IEC, and other international telecom standards.
• Design AC/DC power distribution, UPS, battery bank, and generator sizing with N+1/2N redundancy.
• Perform power capacity planning, load analysis, and distribution panel design.
• Design precision cooling, HVAC, hot/cold aisle containment, and perform thermal load calculations.
• Specify environmental monitoring, grounding, bonding, and ESD protection systems.
• Develop cable management, containment, and routing standards.
• Own design governance, review and approve drawings, lead design review boards, and assess design risks.
• Lead technical evaluation of vendor solutions and participate in RFI/RFP assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom facilities design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (TIA/EIA, ASHRAE, IEC).
• Hands‑on expertise in power, cooling, grounding, and civil/structural design.
• Ability to manage design governance processes and vendor technical evaluations.
