Welding Inspector (CBT Passed)

About the role

We are seeking a Welding Inspector who has successfully passed the Computer‑Based Test (CBT) for welding inspection. The role involves ensuring welding work meets industry codes, standards and project specifications across industrial, construction or oil‑and‑gas sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
• Document inspection results, prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to verify weld symbols, procedures and identify defects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support quality control and quality assurance processes on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong experience in welding inspection and application of industry codes.
• Proficiency in QC/QA documentation, reporting and corrective‑action follow‑up.
• Hands‑on knowledge of welding processes, materials, symbols, procedures and typical defects.
• CBT for welding inspection successfully passed; additional certifications such as CSWIP or AWS‑CWI are a plus.
• Experience in industrial, construction or oil‑and‑gas environments, preferably in Muscat or the wider GCC.
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy or a related field is preferred.
