Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in delivering a high‑quality, clean environment that reflects the hotel’s brand and vision. This role combines operational oversight, team leadership, and guest‑focused service to ensure all public areas, villas, guest rooms, and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning operations for public areas, villas, guest rooms, and employee facilities.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular room checks and inspections.
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints courteously, escalating issues to the Executive Housekeeper when needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering to implement preventative maintenance and energy‑conservation programmes.
• Control inventory of guest supplies, chemicals, amenities, linen, and uniforms while maintaining cost‑effective stock levels.
• Prepare and monitor the department’s annual budget, taking corrective action as required.
• Plan and execute regular general cleaning schedules and special projects such as FF&E replacement.
• Ensure strict room‑key control and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping operations, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to convey brand standards and train team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, especially Engineering.
