Assistant Manager – IT

About the role

The Assistant Manager – IT supports the Information Systems department of Alila Hinu Bay, ensuring smooth operation of all IT services in line with Hyatt International standards. This role combines administrative leadership, customer service, financial oversight, and technical support to maximise guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the IT department, maintaining policies, procedures and the Department Operations Manual.
• Ensure availability of stationery, consumables and up‑to‑date software licences for all IS systems.
• Keep the Property Management System software current and coordinate regular departmental communication meetings.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers, handling enquiries and escalating issues when needed.
• Drive productivity through multi‑skilling, flexible scheduling and cost‑control measures aligned with Hyatt finance guidelines.
• Assist in preparing the annual finance business plan and departmental budget.
• Offer technical assistance to hotel management and authorised users, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Coordinate timely repairs, manage backup procedures and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage an IT team in a hospitality environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on guest and employee satisfaction.
• Financial awareness to monitor productivity, control costs and contribute to budgeting.
• Problem‑solving mindset and capacity to implement process improvements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Property Management System (PMS) operations and updates.
• Experience with software licensing management.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
