About the role
The Business Development Team Lead drives growth, innovation and strategic partnerships for GUtech and its subsidiaries. Reporting to senior management, the role translates corporate vision into actionable business development plans and oversees their execution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of a business development plan aligned with GUtech’s vision and corporate objectives.
- Identify, evaluate and pursue new business opportunities across public and private sectors, building a robust pipeline of revenue‑generating projects.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, representing the organization in high‑level meetings, forums and negotiations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals, tenders and RFP responses, coordinating technical, financial, legal and governance inputs.
- Manage the full project lifecycle—from concept development and financial evaluation to implementation planning, performance monitoring and ROI analysis.
- Conduct market research, demand forecasting and competitor analysis to inform business cases and innovation initiatives.
- Act as the central coordination hub across departments, ensuring timely project execution, resource allocation and compliance with internal policies.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in business development or commercial strategy.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into measurable targets and KPIs.
- Experience overseeing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex projects.
