Head of Operations

About the role

The American Chamber of Commerce in Oman (AmCham Oman) is looking for a Head of Operations, a full-time, on-site position based in Muscat. The role oversees the day-to-day operational activities of the chamber, including office operations, member services, event logistics and internal processes, so that programs and initiatives are delivered efficiently. It coordinates with leadership and stakeholders to implement strategic plans, monitor performance and optimise resources.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage budgets and financial workflows
• Maintain operational policies and ensure high-quality communication with members and partners
• Support the planning and execution of networking events, business forums and collaborative projects
• Manage office operations, member services, event logistics and internal processes
• Coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to implement strategic plans and optimise resources

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics or a related field; a master's degree is an advantage
• Experience in chambers of commerce, trade associations, non-profit management or international business is beneficial
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and uphold inclusive, non-discriminatory practices
