NRW Engineer Internship – Water Sector (Salalah, Oman)

About the role

Blue Gold Technology is seeking a motivated intern for a three‑month, full‑time position in Salalah, Oman. The NRW Engineer Internship supports non‑revenue water projects, focusing on field data collection, surveys, and basic analysis of water distribution networks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in gathering field data and conducting night‑time surveys of water infrastructure.
• Support basic analysis of distribution network performance and non‑revenue water metrics.
• Coordinate with engineers and field technicians to ensure accurate documentation.
• Learn to operate and maintain water‑sector tools and equipment used for leak detection and metering.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an engineering program (civil, environmental, mechanical, or water resources).
• Foundational knowledge of hydraulics or water distribution systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to work on‑site during night‑time hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic data‑analysis capabilities.
