Planning Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Oil & Gas EPC projects in Oman. The role involves creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and supporting the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look‑ahead plans and recovery schedules.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct critical‑path analysis and produce weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to track milestones, deliverables and KPIs.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates.
• Prepare delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) and claim‑related schedules when required.

Required profile

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–9 years of experience in planning and scheduling.
• Mandatory experience in Oil & Gas projects.
