Principal Onshore Pipelines Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a senior pipeline engineering leader to drive onshore oil & gas projects across the Middle East. The role combines technical expertise with HSSE leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pipeline engineering from concept through detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning for multiple onshore projects.
• Perform route selection, hydraulic and stress analysis, sizing, and integrity management while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and oversight to multidisciplinary engineering teams and remote work‑share partners.
• Prepare cost estimates, support budgeting, and manage engineering deliverables, calculations, drawings and technical reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; professional engineering membership preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of pipeline engineering experience in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors, including FEED and detailed design.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams on complex EPCM projects, preferably in the Middle East.

Required skills

• Pipeline routing, hydraulic design, stress analysis, materials selection and integrity management.
• Proficiency with CAESAR II or equivalent stress analysis software.
• Strong project management, planning, scheduling and project controls capabilities.
