Project Team Lead – Utility‑Scale Solar

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Team Lead to head a multidisciplinary consultancy team delivering a utility‑scale Solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. The role combines technical leadership, stakeholder coordination and overall project delivery responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the project team across all disciplines (electrical, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical).
• Manage project delivery, programme, resources, risks and technical interfaces.
• Coordinate with client, authorities, utility/grid operator, EPC contractor and other stakeholders.
• Review and align engineering deliverables, studies, designs and technical documentation.
• Monitor progress, quality, HSE and contractual compliance.
• Provide technical and strategic direction through development, design, construction and commissioning.
• Lead project meetings and prepare progress and management reports.
• Identify risks, issues and opportunities and implement mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power or Renewable Energy Engineering (Master’s or Professional Engineering certification is a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation, preferably in utility‑scale Solar PV/IP​P projects.
• Proven experience with grid connection, substations, HV/MV systems and solar PV technologies.
• Strong background in project management, multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with EPC, O&M and IPP contractual interfaces; PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Experience in Oman or GCC projects and knowledge of local regulatory and permitting requirements is preferred.
