Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead comprehensive audit engagements for a leading real‑estate organization in Oman. The role involves assessing internal controls, risk management, and governance processes while mentoring junior auditors and ensuring audit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute internal audit assignments independently or as part of a team.
• Evaluate the design and operation of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports that highlight findings, risks and actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on management’s implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assist in developing audit plans and programs and contribute to the annual audit plan.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate audit findings effectively to management and relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑7 years of internal audit experience, preferably in construction, contracting or similar industries.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
