Senior Onshore Pipelines Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Onshore Pipelines Engineer to lead technical design and assurance across the full project lifecycle for sustainable energy and carbon‑capture pipelines. The role involves delivering feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed designs, and supporting construction, testing and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED and detailed design for onshore pipelines.
• Provide procurement support, oversee construction, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, datasheets, route surveys, maps and alignment drawings.
• Perform wall‑thickness, buoyancy, buckling, pipe‑laying, road‑crossing, hydrostatic test, hot‑tapping and upheaval buckling calculations.
• Execute stress and hydraulic analyses for both above‑ground and buried systems, including block valve stations and layout drawings.
• Apply international codes and standards such as ASME, API, BS, DIN, ASTM, IP, AGA, ISO, NACE and DEP.
• Support sustainable‑energy projects, including ammonia, hydrogen and CO₂ transportation, storage and CCUS facilities.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of oil & gas pipeline design experience.
• Minimum 3 years in sustainable‑energy or CCUS projects.
• Hands‑on experience with ammonia, hydrogen and CO₂ pipelines and related storage/shipping facilities.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAESAR II.
