Team Leader / Project Director – Port & Marine Projects

About the role

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking an experienced Project Director / Team Leader to head a multidisciplinary supervision team for a large‑scale port and mining infrastructure development in Oman. The role acts as the client’s representative under FIDIC, overseeing design review, construction supervision, and contract management for marine, port, and mine works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the PMC team while serving as the primary client interface.
• Oversee construction supervision for port, marine, and mining works.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and safety standards.
• Lead progress reporting, stakeholder coordination, and project governance.
• Oversee integration of breakwater, berths, material handling systems, utilities, and quarry operations.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Marine/Ports preferred).
• Minimum 20 + years of experience, with at least 10 years in port or marine projects.
• Proven experience as Project Director or Team Leader on major port projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts (Yellow Book preferred).
• Experience managing EPC/PMC construction supervision.
• Fluent in English.
