Accountant – Full‑time (Muscat, Oman)

About the role

Al Umnia Medical is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its finance team in Muscat, Oman. The role is on‑site and focuses on managing day‑to‑day accounting operations for a leading distributor of cardiovascular medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger and perform regular reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, LPO tracking and payment follow‑ups.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and assist with audit preparation.
• Produce financial, aging and management reports as required.
• Monitor cash flow, conduct bank reconciliations and track expenses.
• Maintain accurate ERP/Tally records and ensure data integrity across all transactions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, distribution or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems – specifically Odoo and/or Tally.
