Compliance Manager – Omani Nationals Only

About the role

HSBC is seeking an ambitious Compliance Manager to join its Risk & Compliance team in Oman. The role focuses on managing financial crime, regulatory compliance and fraud risks while supporting the wholesale business with expert advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial crime, regulatory compliance and fraud risks for HBME Oman.
• Support compliance advisory and maintain an effective control framework.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant external laws, regulations, internal codes, policies and market practices.
• Provide advisory services to wholesale business and functions to ensure clear understanding of compliance requirements.
• Facilitate proactive communication with wholesale units and develop policies to manage group‑wide changes.
• Support the Chief Compliance Officer and coordinate related processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk & Compliance within banks or financial institutions, reviewing documents and transactions.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Professional compliance qualifications are a plus.
