Head of Trade Finance Operations

About the role

The Head of Trade Finance Operations will lead the Trade Services section, supporting Corporate Banking, Business Banking, SME, Government and Financial Institutions groups. This senior position is responsible for delivering high‑quality trade finance services, driving process simplification, and ensuring operational excellence across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day management of the trade finance team.
• Develop business cases to streamline complex processes and leverage team potential.
• Conduct gap analyses, redesign workflows, and implement new operating models.
• Lead transformational projects: draft requirements, create test scenarios, manage UAT and change transition.
• Maintain performance measurement systems and produce regular MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with audit queries, regulatory standards and internal controls.
• Deliver training sessions for staff, other bank departments and corporate clients.
• Oversee product development for new trade finance offerings.
• Monitor staff performance, enforce maker‑checker controls and proactively detect operational risks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree.
• CDCS qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in trade operations and trade sales.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products and ICC rules.
