About the role
The InterContinental Muscat is seeking a hands‑on Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision of its beachfront luxury resort. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will oversee all kitchen operations across multiple signature outlets, banquets, in‑room dining and special events.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a culinary strategy aligned with IHG brand standards, focusing on European (Italian & French) and Omani/Middle Eastern flavours.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations for diverse outlets including Musandam, Takara, Tomato, Mynah’s Edge, Trader Vic’s and Tr.Eat café.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and safety compliance (HACCP, sanitation standards).
- Manage food costs, inventory, budgeting and profitability.
- Collaborate with F&B leadership, front office, banquets, catering and sales teams on concepts and events.
- Mentor, train and evaluate culinary staff, fostering a collaborative culture.
Required profile
- 10‑12+ years of progressive culinary experience, preferably in luxury hotels or residences.
- Proven expertise in European cuisine, menu engineering and innovation.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
