Finance Manager (Senior Accountant) – Private Investment Office

About the role

We are supporting a private investment office as it transforms into a newly licensed asset management entity in Oman. This early‑stage Finance Manager will build the financial foundation, establishing infrastructure, governance and reporting standards for the evolving platform.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full financial accounting and reporting across the investment platform and its entities, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual statements in line with IFRS.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations and internal controls for multiple jurisdictions.
• Support accounting for public markets, private equity, real estate and alternative assets, monitoring performance, valuations and cash flows.
• Assist with NAV calculations and portfolio‑level reporting.
• Drive the transition to a regulated asset‑management structure, liaising with auditors, regulators and service providers.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Establish finance processes, systems and internal controls from the ground up, working with legal, compliance and external advisors.

Required profile

• 8+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a buy‑side environment such as a family office, asset manager or private equity firm.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience with regulated financial services is highly preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and comfortable working in a build‑phase environment.
• High level of discretion and professionalism suitable for a private investment setting.
