Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position works on‑site at a hospitality venue in Muscat, Oman, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services as needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle complaints.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and conduct interviews.
• Support guests, including individuals with disabilities, and uphold company service standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 kg unassisted.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality requirements.
• Capability to work under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
