Senior API Integration Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior API Integration Specialist to design, develop, and document RESTful and SOAP‑based APIs using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower. You will ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations across enterprise environments while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful and SOAP APIs with IBM API Connect and DataPower.
• Implement security protocols such as OAuth2, mTLS, and JWT.
• Create and customize API policies (XSLT, GatewayScript) for complex transformations and routing.
• Manage API deployments across multiple environments and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of integration failures using DataPower probes and analytics.
• Collaborate with backend developers, security architects, and product owners to define API contracts and governance.
• Support containerized API Connect deployments on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Apply API governance, versioning, and monitoring best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in API development, integration, and management.
• Experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications or large‑scale enterprise environments is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower Gateway.
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
