About the role
The Steward Supervisor leads the steward team at a luxury resort, ensuring efficient clean‑up operations, high hygiene standards, and seamless support for banquet and kitchen activities.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and assist stewards to maximise cleaning efficiency.
- Monitor water temperature and chemical levels for dishwashing, documenting compliance.
- Assist with banquet plate‑ups, transport stock, and maintain buffet supplies.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff by providing needed items and returning cleaned equipment to proper locations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching team members.
- Enforce safety, security, uniform standards and report any incidents.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and uphold quality expectations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- No specific license or certification required.
