API Integration Specialist – IBM API Connect, DataPower, ACE

About the role

We are seeking an experienced API Integration Specialist to join a leading banking client in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on designing, developing, securing and supporting enterprise‑level API solutions using IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise within the banking and financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, publish and maintain APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Build integration solutions with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Configure and support IBM DataPower Gateway.
• Develop RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Integrate APIs with core banking applications and onboard institutional customers and fintech partners.
• Perform API testing, performance tuning and production support.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and resolve production issues.
• Ensure API security, compliance and governance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application and business teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6 years on IBM API Connect, 5 years on IBM DataPower and 5 years on IBM App Connect Enterprise.
• Mandatory experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to relocate to Muscat.
• Availability to join within 15 days.
