Assistant Manager – Network Operations

About the role

The Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the operation and administration of its enterprise network infrastructure, including data centre design, SD‑WAN, security appliances and communication systems. The role ensures high availability, security compliance and optimal performance across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support network hardware (Cisco routers, switches, Fortinet firewalls, SD‑WAN, VPN, VOIP, POS, video‑conferencing and Wi‑Fi) across the bank’s head‑office, branches and disaster‑recovery sites.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network topology documentation, configuration records and daily monitoring reports using SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, DNA Centre and Nexus Dashboard.
• Lead security initiatives: implement and audit firewalls, IDS/IPS (Trend Micro, TippingPoint), NAC (Cisco ISE, HP ClearPass), manage patch cycles and address audit findings.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal ISO/ITG teams for data‑centre architecture, DR drills, WAN optimization (Silver Peak) and network upgrades.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise network administration, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of change‑management processes, ISO security standards and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work 24x7x365 with vendors to resolve L3/L4 issues.
