Boiler Operator

About the role

The Boiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of steam and hot‑water boilers at an industrial facility in Muscat. This role ensures continuous production by monitoring equipment, performing maintenance, and responding to any abnormal conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate steam or hot‑water boilers and associated equipment.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, water level, and fuel consumption.
• Inspect safety devices, pressure‑relief valves, pumps, compressors, and fans.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Conduct boiler‑water testing and support water‑treatment activities.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate operational and fuel‑consumption records.

Required profile

• Technical qualification and a valid Class 1 Boiler Operator Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial boiler operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of boiler safety and water treatment.
• Experience with steam and hot‑water systems.
• Able to troubleshoot and respond calmly to emergencies.
