Building Management System (BMS) Operator

About the role

As a Building Management System (BMS) Operator you will monitor and control the automated systems that run the building’s HVAC, lighting, power and safety equipment, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control the BMS to regulate heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, lighting and other building services.
• Respond promptly to alarms and alerts generated by the system.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper functioning of all building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of BMS equipment and related components.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate records of BMS operations, alarms and maintenance activities.
• Implement energy‑saving strategies to improve overall building efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Support system upgrades or new installations and train colleagues on BMS usage.

Required profile

• Technical understanding of building automation and control systems.
• Ability to react quickly to system alarms and take corrective action.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple internal departments.
• Commitment to safety, environmental standards and accurate documentation.
