Cashier

About the role

The Cashier is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for delivering fast, friendly service while accurately processing sales. Working in a busy restaurant or store environment, the role combines customer interaction with operational duties such as maintaining cleanliness and supporting visual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest within 5 seconds at the front counter or drive‑thru and provide a warm, professional welcome.
• Take orders, ensure accuracy, and deliver them promptly, following the S.E.T. principles (Smile, Eye Contact, Thank you).
• Handle cash, credit cards, vouchers and automatic debits, issue receipts, refunds or change, and balance the cash till at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and uphold sanitation and hand‑washing standards.
• Prepare and serve products according to company procedures, monitor product temperatures and record them in the Time & Temperature Log.
• Support store operations by restocking supplies, communicating product needs, and participating in store meetings.
• Execute service recovery quickly and courteously when guest concerns arise.
